Appointed:

  1. Jesper B Andersen appointed advisory board member at Norwegian SEALD
  2. Jesper B Andersen: Steering committee member of the Global Cholangiocarcinoma Alliance
  3. Jesper B Andersen appointed member of the scientific evaluation board for the French National Cancer Institute (iNCA).
  4. Jesper B Andersen appointed member of the International Cholangiocarcinoma Research Network (ICRN).
  5. Jesper B Andersen elected to the Academic Council at the Department of Health and Medical Sciences, UCPH.
  6. Jesper B Andersen appointed member of the International Liver Cancer Association (ILCA) Communication Committee.

Awards:

  1. The European Network for the Study of Cholangiocarcinoma is awarded an EU COST Action: European Cholangiocarcinoma Network CA18122. The Danish management committee includes Patricia Garrido-Munoz and Jesper B Andersen

  1. February 2019. Jesper B Andersen to speak at the European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL) HCC Summit in Lisbon, Portugal.
  2. January 2019: Jesper B Andersen speaker and chair at the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation Annual meeting in Salt Lake City, USA.
  3. January 2019. Jesper B Andersen to speak at Department of Hepatology and Gastroenterology, Aarhus University Hospital.

Graduates:

  1. Dan Høgdall, MD graduating his PhD in Health and Medical Sciences. Entitled “ Biomarkers of the stromal and paraneoplastic compartments in patients with biliary tract cancer”
  2. Lau Vestergaard graduating his MSc. Entitled “The Methyltransferase-Like protein 13 (METTL13) shows oncogenic potential in connection to bile duct cancer”.

New faces:

  1. January 1st 2019 Lea Duwe is enrolled as a PhD student in the International Doctoral Program in Molecular Mechanisms in Disease.
  2. October 1st 2018 Juan Francisco Lafuente Barquero is hired as a postdoc fellow in the Andersen group.
